Wedding Dress
1870 London.
Grenadine wedding dress (French silk fabric). Exhibited at the London Museum. It is known that Harriet Hamilton was married in this dress in the city of Manchester in 1870. Silk fringe borders the tunic and passes to the bodice, forming bras on the bodice. The bodice is fastened with hand-knitted buttons. The decoration is a belt of a complex style, bows with long ends are fastened at the back, the skirt is very fluffy with a slight train.
